Better known as “a fun family resort” the Cape Codder offers Cape Cod style lodging, romantic dining and a family fun atmosphere year-round. Originally built in 1972, the resort was purchased by the Catania family in 2001, who initially invested over $15 million in the Cape Codder Resort’s renovations. All of the rooms, common areas, and restaurants were upgraded. The resort houses a state-of-the-art fitness center, an indoor wave pool, spa, bonfire pit, enchanting gardens and a rainbow falls heated outdoor pool. We arrived for a very special annual event known as Pirate and Princess weekend, which is a staple event at the Cape Codder Resort & Spa. Imagine children playing on the water slides during the day, families creating and embellishing their own swords, tutus and tiaras in the afternoon, followed by an evening of pirates and princesses dancing at the ball, with games and prizes. It's definitely the event of the year, and it’s an unforgettable experience for pirates and princesses of all ages. Upon check-in, this kids were thrilled to receive their goodie bags, which included a princess bracelet, eye patch, tattoos, tokens for the arcade along with a scavenger map. Look forward to a weekend full of fun events!

After dinner, kids are treated like royalty and a red carpet entrance into the ball escorts all pirates and princesses. Games, dancing, more balloon animals, and photo booths are all part of the fun. This kind of excitement only comes around once a year, so grab your captain’s hat and book your trip! As always, it is not the destination that counts, but the journey we take and the memories we make.
