As part of its winter dinner-theater series, the Cape Codder Resort & Spa will present Comedy on the Road on January 26.
The show will feature Cape Cod Comedy Fest favorite Steve Donovan, rising Boston comedy star Laura Severse, and musical hosts Sauce & Cheese from the World Gone Crazy Band.
In addition to performing standup in New England and around the country, Mr. Donovan is co-host of the “Heather & Steve Show” on Providence, Rhode Island’s Lite Rock 105 FM as well as an occasional host of NESN’s Batter’s Box and the syndicated Community Auditions. He has acted on stage and appeared in several local television commercials.
As a streetwise Boston native, devoted wife, working mother of two, storyteller and stand up comic, Ms. Severse has brought her hard-working and heartfelt approach to life to stages across the country. Last year she was featured as a Best of Boston Comic at Patriot Place’s CBS Scene restaurant, and Best of Laugh Boston showcase. She has been featured in the Boston Women in Comedy Festival and ThunderFest Comedy festival, performed in the Boston Comedy Festival showcase, and hosted a New York/Boston Comedy Chicks showcase for Cinder Block Comedy Festival.
Tickets are $59.95 per person for the dinner-and-a-show package, which features a buffet dinner, cash bar, and premium seating. A limited number of show-only tickets will also be available for $25 per person.
Seating is at 7 PM for dinner-and-a-show combo, 8 PM for show only.
Upcoming performances include mentalist Jon Stetson on February 9 and April 13, the Dynamic Dueling Piano Duo on March 2, St. Patrick’s Day comedy with Gaelic vs. Garlic on March 16, and PBS star and author Loretta LaRoche and her “We’re Not Dead Yet Quartet!” on April 6. Prices vary.
